PART ONE VOCABULARY - to be ashamed of smth – стыдиться чего-либо;
- appearance – внешность;
- to grow taller (longer, colder…);
- awkward – неловкий, неуклюжий;
- as well as – также как и ...;
- cute – милый, миловидный;
- to be fully convinced – быть полностью убежденным;
- stringy – жесткий;
- no matter what (how, where…) – неважно что;
- handsome – красивый;
- much too + adj (tall, good, important) – слишком высок, хорош;
- tailored clothes – одежда, сшитая на заказ (ant.: ready-made clothes);
- to hang (hung) loosely – болтаться, висеть, как на вешалке;

Choose the right word - This young boy is so (awkward, handsome), he always breaks everything.
- Mary should better wear (tailored, ready-made) clothes: things hang upon her loosely.
- Her hair is much too (curly, stringy) to make her look pleasant.
- Tim is short (not so as, as well as) fat.
- Mother was (ashamed of, fully convinced of) her being right.
- You can’t expect Rilla with her looks (to do any better, to do you good).
- (Behaviour, appearance) isn’t everything; no matter how pretty you are.
