Задачи: развитие навыков говорения, аудирования, в процессе творческого общения учеников друг с другом и учителем на основе изучаемой темы. Расширение кругозора по теме. Повторить пройденный учебный материал в неформальной обстановке при помощи конкурсов.
Оборудование: фотографии (фотоальбомы), слайды, аудиокассеты, карта мира, карта Москвы, карточки со словами.
Moscow, 1 is the Day of Moscow.
It`s a big city festival which takes place every year on the first Saturday in September.
Last year was special - Moscow celebrated its ...th anniversary!
What anniversary did Moscow celebrate?
Guess what world capitals had sent their greetings to Moscow.

There are a lot of monuments in Moscow. Let`s match the pictures with their descriptions and say who the monuments are to. See drawing 2.
